PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: All processing expenses for Central University Admission Unit (UPU) applicants will be covered by the Higher Education Ministry.

In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the ministry announced that for the 2022/2023 academic year, it will pay in full the UPU Online/Unique ID fees for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent, Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM), Foundation, Matriculation, and Diploma or equivalent graduates.

“Admissions applications will be accepted from February 4 to March 31.

“For additional information and to apply to public higher education institutions and public skills training institutes, go to upu.mohe.gov.my.

“If applicants are obliged to obtain a Unique ID pin number at Bank Simpanan Nasional in order to apply for UPUOnline, the government and ministry are concerned about the limits and implications.”

“As a result, we hope that this decision will ease their burden and facilitate their application process to continue their studies and safeguard their future,” minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad said in a statement on Thursday (Feb 3).
